Orbitfiles.com Ltd was co-found in Dec 2005 and went online in March 2006 by Elias Chelidonis (29 ) and Andrei Nakhabov ( 24 ) with the mission to create a very powerful online platform where users can backup, access and share any type of file at the highest possible level of privacy and security.
Here are some of Orbitfiles.com major milestones:
- March 8th 2006, Orbitfiles.com goes online
- April 24th 2006, Orbitfiles.com hits first page at Digg.com, over 4000 new users in a single day
- May 7th 2006, Orbitfiles.com hits 10,000 registered users
- June 29th 2006, Orbitfiles.com moves from a dedicated hosting solution to its own 22 server private network
- August 14th 2006, Orbitfiles.com has officially over 40,000 registered users and 500,000 uploaded files
- January 22nd 2007, Orbitfiles.com receives first round Angel funding
- March 11th 2007, Orbitfiles.com gets the 100,000th registered user
- April 14th 2007, Orbitfiles.com stores 1,000,000 files
- Aug 29th 2007, Orbitfiles.com private network grows to 8tb
- Nov 25th 2007, Orbitfiles.com re-launches and unveils a totally new way of managing your files online

Team
CEO / Co - founder Elias Chelidonis holds a BA in Management from University of Sheffield, UK and an MBA in International Marketing from SNHU, USA. He has extensive strategic experience in managing e-ventures successfully.
Chief Development Officer / Co - founder Andrei Nakhabov studied at the faculty of Cybernetics at Obninsk State Technical University, in Russia and holds a diploma in Computer Network Systems Engineering. Andrei is the "heart" of Orbitfiles development process with great experience in technologies as PHP, AJAX.
